Dear 6 Gracious,

The major change of date has been confirmed and Gladys has managed to book the clubhouse on 8 June. This is a very important announcement and I hope everyone can take note of it. Admin, please help to inform the people invited.

In addition, the plans for the day shall remain the same, and that we will wait at the bus interchange latest until 1.45 pm. If anybody comes later than that, unfortunately, he/she will have to make his/her own way there. Therefore, I urge everybody to be punctual. Again, Admin please inform the people invited.

Apologies on behalf of the Admin to those who are not able to make it for the gathering.

Regards,
Kai Yang

Dear 6gracious,

There is going to be a change of plans for the gathering. We have just noticed that 15 June is Fathers' Day, and most of you would probably want to stay at home or go out to celebrate.

Currently we will try to contact Gladys and ask her to unbook. If it is possible for her to unbook, we would change the date, probably to 8th june.

If not, we would carry out with the original plans and hope for the best.

Dear 6 Gracious,

Looking at the positive feedback, I take it that everyone is satisfied with the plan, and therefore the plan shall be implemented. Suggestions are still welcome though.

Next, about what happens if weather conditions are not favourable. If there is wet weather on that day, the activities wills till resume as they are not afftected (you can play blind mice indoors). Therefore, there will be no need for a wet weather plan since it will be similar to the original plan.

Lastly, regarding people who shun away from cameras, tell them that the photographs are meant for memories, and not meant to ridicule or make them look silly. However, if they still refuse, do not harrass them.

I hope this gathering can be a successful one.

Warmest regards,
Kai Yang

Okay now that we know the not-free dates, can we choose a date whereby it is most suitable? So does anyone mind if the gathering is on a Sunday?

If not, so far I think 15th june is the most suitable date, cause if the gathering is in May it might be too soon.

The following suitable dates might be 1st , 8th or 11th june, as both has 4 people who cannot make it.

Okay this is about the dates that would be available after minusing kaiyang and my not-free dates. And minus the sundays also. Though i have already mentioned it on the tagboard, it might get buried.

Dates AVAILABLE: 28 may, 31 may, 4june, 5june, 6june, 9june, 20june

To avoid misunderstandings, this are not the ONLY dates we HAVE to adhere to. After all the dates we are after are the ones that most people can make it. So don't call me self centred or selfish or whatsoever for only mentioning the dates I am free k?

If all these dates are still not ideal, then it'll be either PONNING CCA or hold the gathering on the first week's saturday after school reopens.
So,
1)PON CCA
2)gathering on the first week's saturday after school reopens.

Anyway CCA ponning is no biggie

Thanks

Okay this is an overall update on what is going to happen for the 6GRA june gathering for those who don't want to read long posts.

Location: Yishun Emerald

Since my tag on the tagboard got buried (sort of), this is just to clarify chyifang's post, that we hope that the welfare team, sophia, theron and kaiyang, can tell us the dates and times which you are free and prefer the gathering to be held in.

Regarding kaiyang's post, I think maybe you misunderstood and thought chyifang is asking us all to tag on the tagboard as to which day the gathering should be held on, but we will be sending an sms to the rest of the 6 gracious pupils :D

If we know which week the welfare comm are free, it would be much easier as we can just ask the rest of the 6gracious pupils if they're free on that particular week.

Lastly, I hope there wouldn't be any quarrels amongst us all, alright? This is supposed to be a happy event planning, so let us all be happy(:

Sunday, May 11, 2008

Dear 6 Gracious,

First of all, I hope everyone can understand that initiative is a very important thing. You need to have the initiative in order to make sure the gathering stays well-planned and not delayed, and you need to have the initiative to read posts word for word, to make sure you do not miss out any important imformation or updates, so as to prevent misunderstandings.

Secondly, regarding people who have requested for the contact list, you can ask sophia to send you via email, but pardon me for asking this: if you are not involved in contacting the people asking them about the dates that they are free, why do you need the contact list?

Thirdly, regarding Theron's latest tag, I said that to make you understand that the contacts are only for the people who are needed to contact the people, in other words, the admin, like I have explained. I have been trying to tell you that only the admin are needed to contact them. I believe there is no need to express yourself using vulgarities, and if I have not been clear in expressing myself, I apologise. I'm sorry, okay?

Next, I would like to add on that once the date has been set, the Admin can choose to help the welfare or they can go off slacking, depending on your mind.

Next, I would like to answer to chyifang's post regarding contacting the people. I would prefer the admin to send an sms regarding the date as looking at the past year's experience, allocating a suitable date via the tagboard is not effective. To the question of how to send the sms, perharps you could say: hello, im ___, may i ask you when are you not free during the june holidays? We are organising a 6 gracious gathering during the june holidays, and we need to pick a suitable date for the gathering. Please reply this sms as soon as possible. thanks!

In addition, if the admin is experiencing any difficulties, they can ask for help from the welfare.

I thank you in reading this post.

Regards,
Kai Yang

/the class that rocks

Dear organising team,

According to the welfare team, I agree that we should firstly find out which days we, the OTms are free.
So can you all (welfare and admin) please tag to state your most preferred week (week what of june) and day (which day of the week).

To the welfare team, sorry to trouble you all but can you all tell us (admin) what to ask our dear friends so that we can get it clear?
So far the things we need to know are:
1. Location
2. Date
Is there anything else?
Thank you very much!

Yours sincerly,
Chyi Fang

Dear Organising Team,

In order to make this gathering a successful one, I strongly think that the preparing work has to be done as soon as possible. This does not only apply to the Administrative, but also the Welfare. Therefore, to make the task of the Administrative easier, I suggest that you should start off by asking the Organsing Team members(OTm) for their free dates first. This is such that we can confirm that all the OTm can make it on the day of the gathering.

After collating the dates that the OTm are free, the dates would therefore be somewhat narrowed down, thus leaving you an easier task in asking our fellow classmates for their free dates. Another method would be by asking for their free days (Monday, Tuesday, etc). As some people may have CCAs or other commitments that are occupying some of their days, and are fixed, please take note of the days that they are free, and also of they are going to a holiday, or going overseas, take note of the dates. Regarding the week that the gathering would be held at, the Welfare Committee cannot decide on our own as we do not, at the moment know when are our classmates free. Some may be going overseas, occupying weeks of their holiday, thus we cannot just decide on the week like that.

Adding on, if you need help, or need further assistance in contacting our classmates, for example, more manpower in contacting them, please feel free to ask anybody as I am sure that they will be more than willing to lend a helping hand.

Please try your best in making this gathering a success. The Welfare committee will be doing our best in planning the activities. Thank you.

Yours Sincerely.
Sophia.

Saturday, May 10, 2008

Dear Organising Team,

According to the poll and the tagboard responses, the more popular choice for the June gathering to be held at is Yishun Emerald. Therefore, now that we have agreed on a suitable place, I would like to remind everyone that we ought to start planning now, and the most important thing to be done as soon as possible: date, to be done by those who volunteered to be in the Admin.

Therefore, I hope the Admin would start messaging people now, and to find out a suitable date for most of the ex-classmates.

I would like to add that the date has to be suitable for all of the organising team members, as they are needed on that day.

Sophia will be sending the contact list to the Admin by email. Please read through it and take action as soon as possible. Time is running out.

I would like to remind everyone that you volunteered yourself to do a service for our class and plan this june gathering, therefore I hope that you would be able to carry out action effectively and as soon as possible, instead of just talking.

Regards,
Kai Yang

Hey just realised this blog has the same number of posts as my class blog :D

Anyway, for the gathering, can we settle it at Yishun Emerald? Cause according to what I saw on the tagboard YE seems to be more popular.
Or do you guys still want to ask everyone one by one on MSN or sth?

/the class that rocks

Saturday, May 03, 2008

Well obviously the poll wasn't such a good idea after all, due to SOME PEOPLE who voted multiple times. So I suggest that we assign a number of people to each person who tags here, or the members of the admin and welfare dept. Then people who are assigned the names will then go ask which venue they prefer.

I know that it's the mid-years period so those who have not taken their exams or is still taking please mention so on the tagboard and no job will be assigned to you, at least until your exams are over. Thanks.

hello.
lol, today no formal post.

anyway, THE POLL WAS TOTALLY #@%^&%!@$##%&#$@#%$.
blah, there can't be 22 votes. it's a bit TOO unreal.
unless all of the 6gracians are weirdos who don't tag(okay, if you are one reading this, don't be offended. sorry)
i mean, yea. You come to the blog because youa re concerned about the class.
THEN WHY WOULD YOU NOT TAG.
if you are one, PLEASE TAG NOW. so we can aknowledge you-.-
okay.

so whoever's free can start asking around i suppose.
use kaiyang's plan bah. if not then anyhow decide already.
22 votes and only 7regulars is totally off.
please, if you are the multiple voters, stop it. -.-

okay, since im in welfare. and nothing's progressing.
so, no updates yet :\

ANYWAY. also since im in welfare.
here's to all of you.
THE WEATHER'S SUPER DUPER HOT NOW.
please drink lots of water and eat less heaty food.
if not the gathering finally come then you can't make it. D:
lol.

DRINK MORE WATER.
TAKE CARE OF YOUR HEALTH.
okay.

OUR POEM

Chongfu
A school like none other
A happy family
Where everyone is a sister or brother

Friendship found here is so real
I hold it in my heart so dear
Lending a listening ear; helping times of need
Many true friends i have made indeed

Teachers here are helpful and kind
They are the best you will ever find
There are times that they nag and scold
That's because they're trying to gey us to places we want to go

School life is busy, vibrant and fun
Though, alas, the homework has to be done
Our teachers may be fun and cool
But when in comes to work no one dares to play the fool!

With lush flourishing greens
All around and within
There couldn't be a better place to study in
And i pledge to keep our beautiful Chongfu clean

With sincerity and perserverance
We strive towards exellence
Awards and medals we won
Made possible for we are united as one

The school has taught us to achieve
Goals that we would never have conceived
The core values are important beliefs
They shape the way we live

Honest winners, Gracious losers
we have learnt to be
Always perservering; never a quitter
When faced with difficulties

From Chong Hock Girls'
To now Chongfu
We gasp in wonderment
What our school went through

16 April is Founder's Day
Let's get together for our school birthday
With a song and sparkling candlelights
Chongfu, spread your wings and may you soar to greater heights!

I love my school
And i call it mine
